I kept testing after a positive. A positive OPK means you’re positive for a surge it doesn’t mean you’ll ovulate. If your body tries again you’ll have another positive and could miss it. If you have problems with ovulation this is also how someone could find out

We tested until I got a positive pregnancy test. I actually ended up ovulating twice in one cycle. Took a test a week before my period was supposed to start and we were finally pregnant after 3 years. I would test every day until you either get your period or a positive pregnancy test just so you have a better idea about your cycle.
