To start, this is my second baby. I am 35 weeks and I am have full on strong, real contractions that come every 4-5 minutes. I went to the hospital and the monitored me all day. I’m 3 cm dilated and 50% effaced. And then my labor stopped for about 2 hours. Then it came back on fully, for another couple hours, and then stopped again. And it seems to just be repeating this cycle. So they sent me home. My question is, since these are in fact real contractions that are getting stronger, has anyone experienced this? With my first baby when this happened I ended up having her. Should I prepare to have a baby even tho it keeps stopping? Or probably not gonna happen anytime soon? The hospital wasn’t sure what to think given my history and the fact that I have already dilated, but haven’t progressed much cuz it keeps stopping.
