baby boy has arrived 💙

I came in to be induced last night at 10 PM. I was at 3cm and 60% effaced when I came in. I was contracting on my own so they didn’t want to start pitocin immediately. Around 12, she finally started the medicine as my regular contractions slowed and spaced apart.

They ended up upping the dosage because the contractions spaced out and werent too strong. Around 2:45/3 AM, they started getting extremely strong. I got the epidural at 3:30, and was at 6cm dilated. They checked me again around 6:45 (as contractions got stronger and I was struggling with the pain), and I was at 7 cm. My doctor came in and broke my water around 7:30ish, and I was at an 8, and 100% effaced. She didnt even leave the hospital. She came in about 8:15, and told me I was fully dilated. She let me start pushing around 8:25, and by 8:39 my baby boy was born!

Weighing 7 lb 2 oz & 20 in long. he is a trooper. 💙
