If it’s tap water, I always boiled it. But I normally used bottled water.

My pediatrician said tap water is completely fine. Water out of a well needs to be boiled though.

It depends on where you live. My tap water is fine and we put it through a filter. However, we only used this on those odd nights where we ran out of distilled water. I think it’s okay I’m just paranoid. I never bothered to boil.
