At what age would you ok with your baby sleeping on a different level of the house than you? We only have 1 other bedroom on the same floor as our bedroom. We're going to finish our basement and add more bedrooms but my husband and I have different opinions on when we'll move our daughter downstairs. We want to have another baby within the next year or 2 and I think a toddler sleeping downstairs is too young. I think around age 7 would be an ok time for her to move downstairs. So because of this, the 2nd baby would probably stay in our bedroom until he/she is consistantly sleeping through the night. then both kids would share the upstairs bedroom. This bedroom is pretty small. So I keep saying we'll have a big gap between our 2nd and 3rd babies because I'd wanna wait until baby #1 is 7 to have a 3rd lol. This might be confusing but I'm curious what you guys think. I guess I'm just paranoid if there was a fire, or something she'd be too young to get out of the house by herself. Or if she was only 3 or 4 years old and she was sick it's a long walk to come get me or for me to get to her. Am I just a crazy over protective mom?? Lol!!
