Not breastfeeding.
So I’m 31 weeks with my second daughter, and know I will be exclusively pumping (unless formula is needed depending on milk supply).
I will not be breastfeeding for reasons I don’t need to give, and am wondering how to deal with this after I give birth at my hospital.
I just read a bunch of information from my hospital and it said they will strongly encourage breastfeeding.
Is there a way to go about telling them the decision I have made without feeling shamed into trying breast feeding again? I tried with my first and it made the after birth experience TERRIBLE. I only kept trying because of all the nurses and people pressuring and knew it wasn’t for me. How do I tell them this is my decision without being (rudely, strongly) persuaded again? I am the type of person that doesn’t like confrontation and am scared they will push me into doing something I don’t want to do yet again.
Advice (not criticism) would be great as to how the best way to deal with this would be!
Thanks in advance 💕
