For mothers who had c-sections before! Which would you choose?🤔

I'm so stuck on which to choose because they both have their risks.😑🤔

My c section was god awful so I'm going to do a vbac hopefully with the next baby

I say repeat c bc our first was a small baby and I just couldn’t do it so I wouldn’t want to go through all that again. Normally their is a reason that there was a c section in the first place so unless something changed like a non breach or no risk then there isn’t a lot reason to not do a c. There are plenty of people that do have a successful vbac though. It is something great to discuss with your doctor. I felt guilty when I was presented with the question of my plans for our second birth bc I knew I wanted a c but I had switch drs due to a move. He asked the reason for the first c and I told him and he just picked for me so I felt much better. There is a bit of guilt people place on you for having a c but whatever it isn’t their business and they don’t Know everything lol.

Don’t get another choice my doctor will only do another c section. However I’m ok with that bc I’m terrified of my baby getting stuck like my son did.

So this varies on why you had a csection to start with.  My babies tend to be BIG (first was 10lb and 21inches with a big head) and my hips are not wide enough to deliver a large baby.  My second was 11lb and 21in at 39 weeks 🤷‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
 
My first delivery was induced and an ‘emergency’ or rather, an unplanned csection.  It was HORRIBLE.  I felt my csection and the recovery was yucky.
 
I scheduled my second csection which went SOOOOOO much better in every way.  I was on me feet the next day and home after 3.  Didn’t feel a thing during my surgery either. 🙏

Ugh my first delivery was a nightmare ... failed induction. This pregnancy they asked if I wanted to try for a Vbac. Helllll no. I know I would be induced again as I am diabetic.

My first was breech so I’m a good candidate to VBAC. If your labor stalled out or baby got stuck the first time, you may not be as good of a candidate.

I just had my second cswction and im only 2 weeks post partum
 I think i might want to try vbac if it is an option cuz csections also suck. Ithought i would be ok with a repeat but i regret it now
