Concert night after retrieval?

Question

Sooo my husband and I got concert tickets to Justin Moore a long time ago and of course out of all the days it’s a high possibility that my egg retrieval could fall on the day before, day of, or day after. Obviously we’re going to ask the doctor but what’re your thoughts? Will I feel up to or even be allowed to go?

I am a concert loving girl and though I felt better there is no way I would have gone to a concert the day.

It’s a no for me. They told me to take the day of easy and then after that it’s fine. I could’ve gone the day before.. but definitely not the day of or after.

Just depends. 
It was mandatory to have someone come to my retrieval and drive me home..
And for two days I was so out of it I never left my bed and my husband woke me for food/ and to give me pain meds. 
But each girl and case is different...

They can reccomend you take it easy but no healthcare professional can make you do anything.  The day of and day after my ER it hurt my ovaries to walk but by day 2 I felt back to normal.

As long as you feel ok I would go. It won't hurt anything you just might not want to because you'll be groggy and potentially sore. However, if it was my favorite band I had tickets for it'd probably make me feel better and happy to go so I'd probably go even if I was sore lol

I left retrieval and was ok that night, but the days following I couldn't even sit up due to the pain/pressure from sitting up.

My first cycle my period came 5 days late and then they stunned me for 2 days longer than expected. So we were a week off our expected date! It’s just about impossible to plan with IVF. I’d be prepared to skip it or go, bc a concert is just what you need to take your mind off the stress of IVF. That being said, I was in awful pain and couldn’t even stand the day of and after retrieval even with the pain pills. The second day I could move around a bit with some pain and stayed home from work. It was about a week after retrieval that I fault back to normal. It turns out I did have some internal bleeding from retrieval (hematoma on each ovary) that caused much of my pain, but that’s pretty rare!!

I literally just left my retrieval.  I’m sleepy so I wouldn’t recommend going day of, but tomorrow... I don’t see why I won’t be back to normal next day. Just depends on your body and how you handle though.
