When/how did you get prescribed clomid??

Hi ladies, my cycle is 45 days long due to its length I rarely if ever ovulate. How do I go about asking my doctor to prescribe me clomid? I am 23 and have been ttc for the past 6 months. Thanks!!

I suffer from PCOS as well and my doctor prescribed it to me after a year and a miscarriage. I explained that my husband and I were eager to have a baby and she was on board. We discussed a plan and how many rounds. She was all for it and told me step by step what days I needed to take it and how often hubby and I had to do our job. She understood what we wanted and was all for it.

I have PCOS and my doctor offered to prescribe me clomid after 6 months of trying, even though they usually won’t do any interventions like that until after a year for most couples. I declined as I want to get pregnant naturally without help if at all possible.
