Doctors do nothing?

Question

I'm almost 34 weeks and have been diagnosed with preeclampsia. Been monitoring BP since 24 weeks, and it's consistent. However, the last exam I had done my BP was 164/100. I should've stayed in the freaking hospital right?? The nurses were like, "oh yeah that's high. Sure you're okay though."
I'm like...wtf?? Anyone else have docs not listening?

Yes I have done the 24hr protein and failed it, have horrible migraine headaches that cause nausea and all the fun stuff that comes with it. I just feel like they aren't "monitoring" the preeclampsia at all. Who sends home a diagnosed patient with that high of a heart rate?

My dr says go to the hospital if your bp is at 90! Of course they should have kept you!

35 weeks today and this was brought up. I’m borderline at the moment she said. But my doctor told me to call if it gets over 160/110. Have to write it down and give it to her next week when I go.

They never kept me for just blood pressure. They kept me once they found protein in my urine over a certain amount

Your doctor should make you do a 24 hr urine that’s the only way for them to completely diagnose preeclampsia and take action . Request it from your doctor if he isn’t picking up on it I had preeclampsia with urine protein and High BP not as high as yours but close and I got steroid shots for baby and two days later was induced at 35 weeks baby was healthy and perfect no nicu except for observation but it’s cause of the steroid shots. It’s not safe for you or the baby if you have High BP and protein in urine.

Have they tested for protein in your urine yet? Or do you have head aches? Usually they look for multiple symptoms before they diagnose. I have seen many get induced for gestational hypertension though. That seems really high to just ignore if it is consistent.

I don't think they typically keep you just for noting a high bp. They will likely induce you early though.
