We are a military family and are in the middle relocating to a new base. We starting looking house to rent and found a house that looked good, we only planned to rent for a year because were are looking to buy a house soon. The house for rent that we found looked great in the pictures. We paid a security deposit and that same day my husband drives 4 hours to go see the house and the house is disgusting. It was basically false advertising. My husband FaceTimed me and there was shit piled up in the toilet, and shit all around the toilet on the floor. I mean big piles of shit! And my husband said it clearly had been there for a while. We were disgusted. Now from what we have learn, people do this to military families all the time, because they know that we need homes asap when relocating and aren’t always able to see it in person right away. I did research and this man has been reported 2 times to BBB. I looked him up on facebook and there complaints from people saying they’ve had to use the bathroom in buckets because he refused to fix their toilet because they reported him to the city for not up keeping the homes. I guess this is just a reminder to people and especially military families. Even when you’re in a rush to relocate don’t give people money before you actually see the place. This man refused to refund our security deposit even though we’ve never lived in the house. I’m so pissed. I reported his company too, but I wish I could do more. And I wish my husband didn’t sign papers until he saw the place. 🙄
