16w1d type 2 diabetes
I’m currently in the hospital because I’ve noticed that with fasting and dieting, the smallest thing sends my sugar into the 200s. My OB said unfortunately it’s common as I progress through my second and third trimester since the baby placenta is doing its own thing, it’s interfering with my insulin. At this point, I’m seriously considering a c section at the earliest time I can or even wishing the baby would come early and just do a NICU stay so I don’t have to face possible stillbirth and preeclampsia. I know it sounds selfish, I’m just at my wits end about the sugars. I’ve had IV pumping for 7 hours, injected with levemir, had a sandwich and my sugar spiked to 208. Has this happened to anyone else? What was your baby outcome. Just looking for some reassurance and positive outcomes.
