Law enforcement mommas ?

So. I’m wondering if anyone here is in law enforcement ? I’m a cop in a pretty dangerous city and I’m just wondering when should I come off the streets? Has any one else dealt with pregnancy in law enforcement ? How did you go about the situation ?

Did you let your work know you’re pregnant? I’m not law enforcement but I’m military and the way we do it is they send you to do less intense work like working in the office for your pregnancy and a little after

I am also military and I informed my leadership as soon as I found out. I dont know how far along you are or how many pregnancies you've had before but I was completely wiped out starting around 7 weeks. I would let them know asap because you could be endangering others as well (i.e. if you get winded easily or are constantly sick) really not trying to be rude.

I worked for the city of Dallas as a police officer. I ended up telling them about 10 weeks and was pulled immediately. To much of a liability for them to keep you on the streets. If something happens to you may not be good for insurance purposes and everything if you hid that you knew! I know where I work is super dangerous so I told them shortly after I found out and close enough to the second trimester. I wouldn’t hold off to long. Yes being off the streets sucks but definitely worth it if something was to happen.

Im not law enforcement but my best friend is. She told them at 10 wks she was pregnant. And around 18-20wks she was put on light duty
