Can formula bottles be saved?

If I make a 6 oz bottle but LO only has 4 oz, can the bottle go back in the fridge for the next feeding?

Unfortunately no you can’t refrigerate and then attempt to heat again, best to toss it. With breast milk you can keep it warm/room temp for up to 6 hours and try to use again but the guidelines with formula are to toss it if babe didn’t eat it. Speaking from 10 years experience as a professional nanny and most recently trained as a newborn care specialist.

I save it and have never had an issue 🤷‍♀️. It just gets used in the next bottle. Right or wrong, that’s what we do.

Most 1st time mom's say no lol. I did it correctly for like the first 6 months of my firsts life. Eventually you just get sick of wasting perfectly fine formula. I haven't followed that "rule" with the rest of my 3 kids and never had a single issue.
