Are you planning to go back to work full time|part time? Heard its not worth it financially to go back full time (single mom)

I currently work 30-35 hrs a week now a bring home 1,000. 
Heard and read it's not worth it going back full time prices like child care etc as all you money pays for that, bills etc, or could be easier and get help off benefits? 
I'm not due till July, so got plenty of time to think jw your thoughts x

Whether or not it’s worth it to go back to work will depend on so many individual factors - your salary, the cost of daycare, your personal expenses. 
I’d do some research into daycares and see how much it will cost. That might be the deciding factor for you. 
Ultimately the longer you’re out of the workforce the harder it is to get back into it when you’re ready, but everyone has to make the decisions that’s right for them and their family.

Really depends on your situation. When you say you’re a single mom, are you an actual single mom? Like one who is the sole provider for her child/children & gets no help from the father? If so unless you have an abundance of savings you may have no choice but to go back to work as you have bills to pay. 
You’re only gonna get but so much help from government assistance. They require you to either 1. Join a transition from welfare to workforce program in which they find you a job and pay for daycare or 2. Put your child’s father on child support & then the state will pay for daycare, however you must be working or going to school for a minimum of 2 hours a week. 
Most people who stay home with their children have a partner who is able to financially provide & pay for bills, groceries etc.

Stay at home mom here. I'm not too trusting of daycare, personally. But my husband does go outside of the home for work. I stay and take care of the children and currently pregnant with #3. I do run a small business from home, though. Seeking products in a local store. I didn't always have a job, but decided to see what happened. If you are any good at typing, there is also online transcriptionist jobs that are work as much as you want, no set time.  For anyone who may be looking for home work.

Part time if we can afford to, otherwise full time. We arent paying for child care (yay extremely excited grandmas!).
For some people, daycare will cost more than they make. For some it won't.  Youll have to do your own shopping around to find out which case you are. Remember to ask about extra fees for late pickup or abnormal shift times so you can make sure you arent suprised at your new bill.

I only get 3 months off (I’m the US) but I’m going to quit and take an additional 5 months off and get a new job in the new year. And then when I get a new job -I’ll get a part time job.

I’ve made so many sacrifices to be able to stay with my kids more. I’ve worked as night nurse, I write from home. I’ve written reviews, been a secret shopper type thing. There are so many options. Right now I’m not working. I used to work for cushion money so I guess I can’t relate in the fact that I’m not having to solely support a household.... Anddddd I’m married so not a single parent so again I can’t relate there but I’d assume if I were single I would have to go back to work full time to pay all my bills. You can get assistance for day care while you work if that’s the issue. Everything is specific to your situation.
