My IUD experience
On January 21st, I got the Kyleena IUD. I was super nervous, and shaking a lot. The actual process of the insertion was not a horrible experience. Obviously, I did not love it. However, it wasn’t as bad as I had been expecting. One thing I can recommend for those considering an IUD is don’t do what I did. Don’t watch YouTube videos to see how it’s inserted, don’t believe that just because someone else had a bad experience means you will too. Every girl is different, our bodies are all different in the way they react to foreign objects. It’s only been two days since insertion, I’ve had cramping, as they said I would for 2-3 weeks. But it hasn’t been bad at all. So far I’m extremely happy with my decision. For those of you who have had an IUD, what was your experience? How did it effect you in the couple weeks after getting it inserted? Are you happy you got it, or what reasons cause you to regret getting it?
