Long story ahead, would love to hear your experiences also.

I was kicked out of home at 16, started working full time at Burger King to make enough money to rent a room. I was a wreck, drinking to much, self harming and generally on a bad path- almost died. At work I met Harvey. He was kind and friendly and had a girlfriend 👎👎! However he always looked out for me when we went drinking after work (in a group) and got me a ride home after I got stranded in the snow. 6 months later we started dating ( I was most definitely his rebound from his now ex girlfriend)

We moved in together after 6 months of dating, Harvey helped me with coping with depression without having to self harm. Always making sure he was there if I needed to talk or cry. I was sexually assaulted by a friend and her boyfriend, he helped me through it and kept me from falling off the deep end. We moved out of a rented room and into our first rental home. Just after we moved in Harvey lost his job and we struggled to make ends meet. I had to sell my car to pay rent and the stress nearly broke us.

Fast forward a few years, after a lot of hard work and tears we had our own apartment , car and good jobs. We went on our first ever aeroplane to Spain for a wedding (this was a big deal to us as we both grew up poor) when we got back we decided to get married and 7 weeks later said I do ♥️♥️

We talked about having children, however having only just been on our first ever trip abroad together we decided to see a bit more of the world before we started a family. We went to Holland, Belgium, Cyprus, Fuerterventura and best of all Florida. It was a life long dream to go to the US and we loved every single minute of it.

If you have never been to Orlando I fully recommend it. The food, sites and people were amazing ♥️. December 2017 we came off birth control and started trying to conceive. Would you believe January we got a positive pregnancy test, we were in shock but happy. Unfortunately in February we miscarried the pregnancy. Apparently we are very fertile because come March we were pregnant again ♥️♥️ things were different this time, I had symptoms from the start and couldn’t wait for our first scan. May 2018 we went for our dating scan to find that there was no heartbeat 💔, my body did not recognise this so we had to have a D&c to remove the pregnancy. Harvey was my rock throughout.

We decided to try one last time, low and behold July I tested positive again. This was hard. I told myself not to get excited and at 8 weeks I had a bleed. The early scan showed a heartbeat and I couldn’t believe it. 12 weeks another scan and baby still alive and kicking. 16 weeks I wake up with trouble breathing, doctor sends me straight to hospital where I was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism (blood clots) and put on twice daily blood thinning injections for the rest of my pregnancy (not fun 🤦🏼‍♀️). All the while Harvey is there keeping my spirits up. 30 weeks pregnant I go to the midwives with extreme itching and I’m diagnosed with obstetric cholestatis and put on 3 more medications. 👎 my appetite is lost and my energy levels have fallen off a cliff. But this baby kicks me all the time and reminds me it’s all worth it.

Long story short 🤣🤣 I met the love of my life when I was 16 and here we are nearly 10 years later. We have lost people in death, lost jobs and possession. Lost our 2 little babies. But we made it and in a few short weeks our family will become 3. I cannot wait to take this next step with Harvey. I truly would not be alive today if it weren’t for him ♥️♥️. Sorry if you got bored 🤷‍♀️
