Yoga ball didn’t work in my favor
So baby had been head down for so long, on my 35 weeks appt I was 1cm dilated and the midwife was able to feel babies head. So I decided to start bouncing on my yoga ball to help getting baby’s head more engaged in the birth canal, and hopefully get more dilated but unfortunately this wasn’t the case for me, when I got checked for dilation today the midwife felt a hand and ankle instead of a head, she immediately did an ultrasound to find out the baby is breech 😢 I’m 36w4d today and got scheduled for a version “ECV” to flip the baby. Has anyone had this procedure before? Did it work? Was it painful? Is there any thing I can do at home to flip this baby?
I’m a second time mom and had my first vaginally, and I’m not looking forward to having a c-section.
Update:
Had my ECV done today and unfortunately it failed, it was very painful and after the 3rd trial we decided to stop as baby was not cooperating..
C-section will be scheduled soon, although I still have a very slight hope that she will turn on her own..
