WARNING: I AM ABOUT TO VENT A LONG ASS VENT FOR ADVICE. I AM NOT LOOKING FOR SYMPATHY JUST ADVICE, thank you!

Almost two weeks ago I placed an order on the app OfferUp and it was suppose to be shipped. I was so excited because I am trying to become a streamer on twitch. But anyways, I bought the computer for $500. I was the idiot to not realize that he didn’t give me a tracking number or how he shipped it. I believed and trusted him because he was certified on their app as a seller, and he had a five star rating. Who else would think otherwise? It wasn’t too fishy - and I’ve got things delivered before without a transaction number but anyways - the next day he deleted his account, no shit it said, “this persons account is deactivated,” and even his PayPal is too. My bank account, I can not get in too and I just have been letting it eat me up and it’s driving me nuts. I don’t know what to do anymore. I also have the weight of taking care of my boyfriend more than he does for me and trying to limit him helping me so much because he needed a mental break today since he works 40+ hours to just support me and him and me being sick with a chronic illness. We can’t afford to loose $500.00 and I just can’t seem to understand why people do this. Whatever it was for I hope it was needed greatly but however I am still very very sad and don’t know what To do. PayPal told me that the transaction was fine and there was no “unauthorized activity.” So they refused to give me my money back, and offer up said to contact the police as well as my bank but I feel very anxious and awkward and like it’s a stupid reason... anyway thanks for listening to my rant i know I can always come to glow for support. ❤️
