A month ago I had an US and he was fine weight wise and apparently fluid wasn’t problem either but yesterday I had another US to check his position make sure he was head down which he was but the tech found out my fluid is low and baby is small??? Apparently only gained a lb in last month...they’re guessing he’s around 4lbs soemtjing oz. I am petite and first baby was born 5lb5oz but she said this baby is measuring less than 3rd percentile...now what they also keep saying is baby is doing totally fine and I myself have been feeling him move everyday and I feel his hiccups and it seems he’s doing good. BUT THEY WANT ME TO DO A CSECTION TOMORROW MORNING. 😭 I really wanted to try for a vbac and I’m so close and everything seems to be ok with baby....I mean we wouldn’t even have known about this if the midwife hadn’t ordered a US to just double check baby’s position. I’m really confused bc I would really want to wait a week or so see if I go into labor but dr mentioned that babies this small don’t handle contractions well all the time...but her guess about his weight is also a guess. He could be 5lbs already...I’m so torn. She asked a high risk dr who said just deliver but it also seems that there’s no immediate NEED to deliver...he’s well his heartbeat is good he’s head down he’s moving...I don’t know why they don’t give me any alternative...can’t you increase fluid by drinking and resting? (What I’ve read from other people’s experience) and again their weight guess is a guess isn’t it...? He could be a little bit bigger than they say.

Anyone have any experience like this? I’m supposed to go in for the csection at 7am and it’s 4:37am (I should be sleeping but of course who can sleep in a situation like this?) 🙄😰
