To sleep with or not to?

I wanted to know if it’s safe to sleep with your baby if you and your SO are heavy sleepers. I’m scared I might crush him or her in my sleep, I’ve seen in news reports people doing that and it’s terrifying

Cosleeping isn't safe babies need a hard surface and alone the bed is to soft not to mention the blankets and pillows also you or your man can roll (just because you don't think it'll happen it can happen it happened to a close family friend of mine who thought they don't roll and will wake up when they roll)

I cosleep every night and we’re doing fine. My husband is a heavy sleeper but we found that if we follow the safe sleep 7 then we do fine. Our bed is very firm so no worries there. Look up the safe sleep 7 it will change your life

I will hold my daughter until she falls asleep and I mean she will have to be asleep for several minutes and I slowly tip toe over to the bassinet and put her down! I don’t trust myself co-sleeping and my SO sleeps so hard he doesn’t hear her cry.. so not good for us m

I think if your worried you would smother her its not a good idea. You could get one of those cosleepers. It’s like a bed you put in your bed so you don’t roll on your baby. There is also the arms reach cosleeper that is set up next to your bed and is at the same level as your bed so you can breast feed or sooth your baby without having to get up.

I didn’t decide before having a baby to cosleep or not. When my daughter was born she REFUSED to sleep without being held. We even coslept at the hospital. If you can manage getting the baby to sleep on their own then that’s the best option.

I personally couldn’t ever do it. I fell asleep once with bub on my chest in the bed, and after that I’d wake up in a panic every night thinking she was in with me and I’d smothered her
