Showers?

Question

At what weeks do you start having showers? Do you get gifts at gender reveal or should you throw another shower too? FTM here... don't know what I'm doing

You can have a shower whenever you feel like it. Most wait until around 30 weeks I believe. And I personally wouldn’t expect gifts at both your shower and gender reveal most people bring gifts to a shower but not a gender reveal unless you plan on ONLY having a gender reveal party..

I had my shower at 29 weeks because I wanted it before Christmas and not after bc I’m due 2/18.  I didn’t have a gender reveal, but you shouldn’t expect gifts for that. Also usually a family member will throw the shower for you. My mom threw mine.  That was so much less stress on my plate!

I’ve never brought gifts to a gender reveal, no. You can’t expect them at both.

I have my shower planned for when I am 30 weeks. I am not doing a gender reveal, but I know from others that have done them that no one is expected to bring gifts.
