Where’s your line?

Question

You and your husband. When do u leave? What line is it that he crosses you out?

Answer

Unless something drastic happens such as cheating or abuse, I don’t. When my husband and I got engaged, I looked at him and said, “you do understand that marriage means your wagon is attached to mine right?” He said of course. I then asked, “forever? Doesn’t that scare you?” He also said no, to my surprise, because it very much scared me. I think many people go into marriage with the idea of, if it doesn’t work out, we can just get divorced, instead of both people knowing divorce isn’t an option. Marriage is a lot like going to work, you have to get up and work on it every single day, and it is HARD work! Whenever my husband and I have a disagreement, we distance ourselves from each other for a few hours, if not, we end of staying something we don’t really mean. A few hours later when we’re both calm, we talk about what happened, and then ASK each other “what can I do for this not to happen again?” BOTH parties should also reevaluate after something like that. Marriage is a two way road of communication. Counseling could really help also! It sounds like you are going through a rough patch, we’ve been through many also. I am sorry, I know it’s hard! I ask myself this as well. 
My husband provides. He doesnt cuss at me or hit me but he is controlling. He encourages me to go to school but doesnt ever help when I need study time. He controls me, sometimes treats me as if I have no clue about money. (In reality, I held down a job all throughout high school and for another year before joining the military on my own. I'm a women not a child). We cannot debate anything because he will pick at me until I agree. (That's the same with a lot of things) I struggle to be happy, even when we arnt fighting. I feel like I have to walk on eggshells and hide my sassy bold personality. We just started counseling and emotionally it is exhausting. I dont think it has gotten any better. But I m too struggling with line. :/ We have even talked about separating before because we cant even go out to dinner without our daughter and be able to laugh and chill together..

I was asking myself the same thing we only have 3 months married 6 years together. He did something to me idk if I could forgive and when I found out I went blind with rage and started hitting him.  I dont know if I should leave and break up our family or stay and pretend to be happy for my daughter.
