What to do?
Majority of my life I was always told by my father to join the military. It will give me everything I need in life. My dad is a disabled veteran which is why he was always so adamant about me joining. He wanted me to be able to travel and go to school, meet new people, and just experience life how he and most of my other family members did.
Now I'm 22yo, and after years of fighting back on it, as it was not my dream to join the military, I'm debating it. It's something I have sat with very long and I'm thinking of joining the Air Force. I truly feel now I'm older it would be a great experience for myself but I'm still so nervous. I'm scared to what can happen if I join, or what it will be like to be alone somewhere with no one I can just ring out to. Truly, I'm just scared of the unknown, which is normal for myself lol.
If theres anyone out there that has served, anyone's SO that is military, or anyone that might just know a few things, I'd love to hear opinions and ideas about this. How do you feel about the military? If you did serve, what are thing you wish you would have known prior to actually see the recruiter and joining?
