For those who have never heard these terms before, Lolicon is a type of hentai (anime porn) that involves young, even prepubescent, girls nude or in sexual situations. Shotacon is the male equivalent.
With this information, what do you think? Okay? Not okay? Do you think it should be legal or illegal, like porn involving real kids? If you think it should be illegal, how do you think it should be regulated? How would you determine the age of a drawing, especially an unrealistic anime-esque one?

As previously said, they're drawings and age is lent definitive. They have a disclaimer about everyone is 18+. And honestly I rather someone relieve their desires over drawings than actual adolescents.

It’s disgusting, and this is one of my huge issues with anime, not just Hentai.
Anime marketed towards American audiences (Pokémon, DragonBall Z, Yu-gi-oh! etc.), I don’t really see this issue.
My partner watches a lot of anime, my sister did too when she was in high school, and I’d watch with her.
I’ve noticed that the women and young girls are always oversexualised - I’ve seen characters that are meant to be 10 years old, with breasts larger than their heads. My sister watched a lot of anime that was set in middle school or early high school, so this is where I’m taking all this information. There’s a lot of “up skirt” shots, lots of underwear shots, and breasts hanging out of shirts.
It’s not ok. Not unless the characters are over 18.

Ok...according to a google search, a lolicon is actually a person who is fixated on young, especially prepubescent girls. That is way different than a person who enjoys anime porn. In most anime, porn or not, everyone looks pretty young or very old...it is just the style of the art. I think people are getting enjoying hentai and actual pedophilia confused here...

Yes, it is disgusting and terrible. But many anime girls look young in general, even older ones with the style of art. It is hard to determine the age of a drawing, anime especially. It is terrible if the doujin specifically states or tags “loli” or “lolicon”. But even if it does, it is messed up, but it’s not like pedophiles can control it. It’s a disorder. Sure, a disgusting messed up one, but still. It is better than them assaulting actual children.
