Big babies?

I recently went in for a routine checkup (I’m 36 w 5 d). While my doctor was feeling my stomach for the babies position, she said he was a big baby which really terrifies me. Im a FTM and already pretty anxious about the laboring process so this has been an added worry for me. Im wondering how many moms have been told their baby was “big” and how big they were when they were actually born. Thanks 🤗

My son was supposed to be 9.5 pounds, but he was 7lbs 4oz at birth. Babies rarely grow too big to be born unless there’s a medical reason (like gestational diabetes for example).

They told me ever since my 20 week anatomy scan with my son that he was measuring big and would probably be a large baby. He was in the 90th percentile for everything. My ob let me choose to be induced (only 2 days early though) because of this, and he was born at 8lb 11oz (my memory is horrible and I’m not 100% that’s the ounces lol). He definitely wasn’t too big , although his head was, and still is, quite large 😂

Yep I got told I was going to have a big baby with my little girl she’s my 3rd, so I looked huge anyways but nope she came out at 7lb 3oz like my youngest son, so average size.. 😊

Don’t read into it too much they can very off I was told my son was going to be on the smaller side and well he was almost 9 pounds my sister was told my niece was going to be her biggest baby so they induced her she was only 5 pounds.

Mine was WAY off. My midwife told me that I was going to have a tiny 5-6 pounder but my girl was 9 lbs. 
Pre-birth estimates are almost always wrong!
