Does a late positive pregnancy test mean due date could be off?

I got my first response positive only after 5 days after my missed period. When I went to the dr. Expecting to be 6 weeks based off of my LMP they only measured 5 weeks. I go back on feb. 8th but I’m freaking that something will be wrong and the pregnancy will not continue. But since I didn’t get a positive until I was 5 days late I’m hoping that makes sense as to why I was a week behind. Freaking out. Anyone ever experience this?

Hi! This pretty much happened to me. I knew my LMP and even had a positive OPK. But then I didn’t get a BFP until almost 5 days late. Basically, the baby implanted later than normal and even if I had a positive opk, it could have been a day or two before it dropped/etc. My baby is completely fine, almost 13 weeks now (:

You could have ovulated later than you expected. Lots of people are off by a week.
When I went for my 12 week scan I found out I was 13 weeks which meant I ovulated a week earlier than expected.

Perfectly normal! My 8 week dating scan pushed my due date back by 6 days and I was 100% sure of my last period. I just ovulated super late so I didn’t get my bfp until 4-5 days late. I’m 24 weeks now and he’s as healthy as can be 💙
