Is a swing or rocker worth it?

Question

Why or why not? We don’t really have the room for it but could potentially make it work. I feel like it’s not actually necessary though. It could be something we put on a registry and don’t purchase ourselves.

My oldest never liked a swing, my 4month old loves it and it’s been a life saver when trying to get her down for naps sometimes. They really aren’t too expensive and if u can go to a consignment store and see if they have any first.

The swing has been a lifesaver for me with both my kids. Way easier to get them to take naps during the day as a baby. My son grew out of his at 1 & it was sad but by then he was good at napping in the pack n play & then his crib. Baby girl is smaller but so is the new swing we got😕 she will probably outgrow it before 1, but then we will just have her nap in the pack n play, then eventually her crib as well.

Nah. We never had one because of space constraints. I had a small bouncer that was easily portable about the house and that was perfect. 
Swings are one of those “super nice to have” things but your baby might not even like them and you can definitely manage without them.

I will definitely be getting one! We didn’t get one before my first and needed up just getting a small one later. In my opinion it’s worth it but if you don’t have room then the baby can go without it , we got a small one to save space.
