Hi I had gotten in to a fight today at school and I was told that her parents are pressing charges against me and I wanna know if I have any sort of legal stance in this.

It was on a coffee line in my school and your lucky if you get to the line while it’s short and there was a girl waiting behind me all of a sudden this girl skipped the whole line and I said you know you can’t do that every one waiting there turn I told the lunch lady what happen and she reminded the girl from the line and told her she needs to wait her turn and go to the back of the line. So I was talking to my friend and I said it serves her right she was like f*** you and calling me a dumb b**** so I wasn’t gonna let someone like that talk to me. I will admit I do believe I did touch her but she did swing the first punch and it went on like that will we were separated. I have box braids in my hair and she pulled out one of my box braids and I have a put behind my ear that was bleeding and it’s clean now. After talking to deans and administration I asked if I can apologize to the girl and I was informed she’s in the hospital and it’s possible her parents can press charges against me and a hour later I found out she did press charges against me
