The ENTIRE month of January has been so rough for me. I started a YouTube channel for fun and kicked it off by making videos with my boyfriend. I’m white and he’s black/Mexican. I only mention this because my videos got posted to a white supremacist forum on 4chan, which resulted in my getting THOUSANDS of comments calling me and my boyfriend million different names. On top of this I’ve gotten death threats, messages on personal social media accounts, unknown callers calling my family members at 2am, etc.

It’s been a challenging month and while I’m okay and staying positive, my cousin who is my best friend and more like a sister to me has reached out ONCE. We haven’t hung out since Christmas and she hasn’t even tried to plan anything. I do online school and have no friends, so she’s the only person I ever hang out with other than my boyfriend. She constantly posts pictures of her hanging out with our mutual friends but... never invites me. I’m not saying she has to every time, but geez.

She said she had no idea anything was going on even though we let my whole family know, because it was becoming a safety issue. Even after finding out, she’s reached out once.

Basically I’ve had a really challenging month and my ‘best friend’ has checked in once, and is constantly hanging out with our mutual friends. Am I wrong for being upset?
