I actually lost my virginity at 16, we’re still together (granted we barely turned adults last year). We were safe about it. Our high school school had a bowl of condoms available for students so we used that, we both went on a field trip to a convention about AIDS (educated us about safe sex, getting tested, etc) and then I got on nexplanon in 2018 (I’m on the depo shot now). People shouldn’t feel rushed to lose their virginity but neither should they be shamed for losing. Do it when you’re ready and be safe.

For sex? Get condoms, get checked for STDs regularly (even if in a relationship - people lie, people cheat, protect yourself), and look at all birth control options you can use in conjunction with condoms.
