Cheat day for baby shower?

So my numbers are really good. I’ve lost weight, and I’m dying over my baby shower food 😭 would you guys allow yourself a cheat day so you can enjoy it??

No. Because it’s not a “diet” you can’t really cheat on diabetes. I would just monitor very closely. And eat a high protein meal before, with NO carbohydrates. Then be very specific and eat only small amounts of what looks that very best.

I had a few cheat meals my last pregnancy with GD. Once a month or so (chips and salsa are my weakness).  My baby was born fine and 6#15oz. I was controlled with diet and exercise though. (Was pregnant through the holidays and jeez missing out those meals was rough!!)

I would say it depends on what you mean by cheat day. Having a piece of cake isn't gonna do much other than giving a high number.
But if you wanna eat all the things you shouldn't all day long, I might wanna consider if that's a good idea.
I've tested a few things and my numbers and every time I eat something I shouldn't I feel like crap for hours.
Consider if it's worth it in the end 😊
But have some cake if you're numbers are good 😊
