Babe wear wraps?

Does anyone like these? I want one so bad for my baby. I’m due in 3 weeks and having my baby shower on Saturday to get anything I didn’t get my first shower. And I’ve also heard hey can be used as a belly support during late pregnancy if you tie it a certain way, so that’s a plus. Are they easy to figure out? Thanks in advance!!

I baby wear a lot and have a small collection. With a newborn you are going to want something stretchy like a Baby K’Tan or a Moby. A Moby, or any wrap really, is just a super long piece of fabric and can get overwhelming at first. The K’Tan is a lot easier to manage because you don’t have to actually wrap anything. When baby gets a bit older I LOVE my Ergo. Its super easy and supportive and I could still wear my 6 year old son in it if I wanted. I do have a Girasol woven wrap that is beautiful and I love it but there is not a lot of stretch so its super supportive for bigger babies and I typically don’t use that until they are several months old and can support themselves for long periods of time and put them on my back. It also doesn’t breathe as well as the Ergo or stretchy wraps so keep that in mind for warmer temperatures.

A woven wrap would be best if you are looking for belly support in addition to a baby wearing wrap. Are there any baby wearing groups in your area? It will be important to learn how to do the different ties (lots of YouTube videos for that—I like Amy Wraps Babies). I don’t use woven wraps yet, so I wouldn’t be able to recommend a certain brand. They are expensive, so I am saving for one.
