When should I worry?

My baby is 3 days old now. He hasn't had a bowel movement since Monday morning. My milk hasn't come in yet and yesterday he was acting dehydrated and the doctor recommended adding 1 oz of formula after each breast feeding which I did. 
I hear him able to pass gas but just no stool. When should I start to worry? 
He's been very calm today. Seems content with just nursing on the breast and sleeping. No fever.

If hes not peeing he needs to be seen. If he is peeing babies can go up to a week without pooping before you need to be concerned

Breastfed babies can go a week without bowel movements. I would just try pumping/ feeding baby and adding in some formula if you’re worried. Baby should be just fine though, as long as they’re having wet diapers.

Since he's so young and is breastfed, it's normal for him to go between one and four days without a bowel movement, depending on your diet. He needs to be seen if he isn't producing at least 8-10 wet diapers a day, anything less than that could mean that he is dehydrated or something else could potentially be wrong. Regardless if your milk is in, he should be producing plenty of wet diapers. Call the pediatrician or take him to your local L&D ward.
