I’m a new mum and buying clothes for my son for when hes born what size do I get for when he’s here ? (First size) or 0-3 months? Is it 0-3?

2 of my kiddos wore 3 months at birth. Then my other 2 wore newborn for about 2 weeks and went to 3 months after that. I had beefy babies lol. I wouldn't spend a bunch on newborn unless you maybe have a premie or know the baby will be small at birth somehow. I think maybe 15-20 outfits of each of the sizes is a good start. But it's hard to say because every baby is so different and grows at their own rate. And then sometimes you get a baby who spits up a bunch and needs constant outfit changes or then you have the baby who dribbles every now and again and you can just change out bibs instead of outfits.

My boy was giant 4kg 54cm and still in newborn clothing for about 3-4 weeks but we didn’t try him in 0-3 months because we had been given so much newborn clothing. It may have been fine. 
He’s been in 6-12 month clothing since 3.5 months 😳 fatty. If you and partner are tall then don’t buy too much in advance. We had to go and buy summer 12 month onesies because we’d assumed it would be winter here when he was that size. Nope. Waste of money.

Depends on weight & size, I was told my daughter was approximately 6 ibs a week before my due date, so I bought a few tiny baby clothes but when she was born she was only 5 ibs and a half and tiny baby were too big so ended up having to buy premature baby clothes 🙈 x

It all depends on your baby’s weight and length when born. Some come out needing preemie or newborn, others come out needing 0-3.
