Alright, so a while back in seventh grade, I got my first boyfriend. We went out for about a month but it was a horrible on and off relationship, he also cheated on me. My parents called him my boyfriend

Now, I'm a freshman, who met a guy in 8th. I instantly was attracted to him, and he was the same for me. He was my first kiss, and we got "together" on April 8th, 2018. Almost ten months later of a very happy, healthy, amazing relationship, my parents think I just like him. They don't like the fact that I even text him. But you have to Meet him. He is the sweetest guy youll ever meet, he is Canadian, and he acts like it. Hes so considerate for everyone, including strangers. I love him with all my heart, and he loves me and I know it.

Why can't my family accept that I'm happy with someone for once?

Any advice? Because this is staring to get to my head and im getting depression about it. My parents don't see it but he does. Help. Please
