Post partum bleeding

Hi all! Has anyone gone from their normal post partum bleeding right into a period? I am 6 weeks PP and still bleeding and it seems to be picking up. But it’s now dark red and almost a mucousy consistency. Light cramping which I wasn’t having with PP bleeding. Having an ultrasound done on Monday to make sure nothing was left after delivery... hoping not.
