So me and my boyfriend are wanting to have sex and I was just wondering when is the best time to have sex when you’re not trying to get pregnant because I’ve heard before your period you are most fertile but I don’t start for 6 days so please what’s your feedback?

You can only get pregnant when a live sperm meets a live egg and fertilizes it.
Sperm can stay alive inside your Fallopian tube, and able to fertilize your egg for about 3 or 4 days after ejaculation. 
Your egg lives for about 8 to 14 hours after ovulation.
Typically a woman ovulates around 14 days before her next menstruation starts.
So that means that a woman is typically NOT fertile during the week before her period, or the first few days of her period.
BUT:
Nothing is guaranteed. Sometimes a woman ovulates more than once in a cycle, and sometimes she ovulates out of turn. If you are still young enough to even consider sex without protection, your ovulation is also very likely still super irregular and unpredictable.
So it is not a good idea to have unprotected sex. Not for pregnancy or for your health. It is just a BAD IDEA ALL OVER.
