** update post **

A few weeks ago I posted about some pains I've been having since I was little and they've gotten progressively worse over the past few years. Today I got some answers. . .

We did not have to do surgery today! I met with two different doctors though.

My first two procedures were with an ultrasound lady, in the endometriosis care wing. We first did a abdominal/exterior pelvic ultrasound. One of my ovaries was difficult to locate but after searching a little while she found it. When she glided the camera over certain parts there was acute pressure and pain.

She could not locate my uterus at all, therefore the second procedure had to be an transvaginal ultrasound (which originally was going to be optional). As she was entering and exiting there was a lot of pain, but during taking pictures of my uterus there was only high amounts of pressure. She praised me for doing such a great job handling it! She said I may feel cramping for a little bit due to then irritating my uterus and such but that recovery from these two procedures shouldn't take very long or be difficult.

My third was in the pelvic disorder and infertility wing. She asked me a million questions about my health and my significant other and I's sex life, stuck something up there, looked, moved it around, asked "does it hurt here?" And as she moved it around and the pain level increased in spots she got her answer. My pelvic muscles are extremely tight, they don't know the cause just yet. They set me up to be working with a female specialist (requested a female because working with a male that's not babe makes me uncomfortable) in pelvic therapy.

I should have a follow up appointment in a few weeks to discuss my ultrasound results.
