Anyone who quit smoking?

Hello girls, after 11 whole years of constant smoking between cigarettes and vapers I've decided to finally quit, anyone here who have achieved that?

I quit about 3 years ago. I literally (don’t look at me crazy) heard God’s voice and quite cold turkey. BUT! Just don’t give in to any temptations. That’s the biggest thing. One leads to two to ten to a pack.

I have never been a smoker but my parents were big time smokers. My mom had a stroke about 10/11 years ago which they believe was caused in part by smoking, so she quit cold turkey. My dad has a harder time (he smoked a lot more than my mom) but had to do it to support my mom. He got hypnotized. I know it sounds insane and we thought it wasn’t gunna work, especially with how heavy of a smoker he was, but he hasn’t touched a cigarette since that day 😊

I smoked for 7 years. I loved it, and was a very heavy smoker. This summer will be 7 years that I have quit and I can’t believe it. 
I used Chantix. I know it gets a lot of hate, but I really couldn’t have quit without it and I credit it with making that time stick. It really takes helps to take away cravings and you get to smoke when you start taking taking it. I honestly forced myself to smoke the last day I was allowed because it made me feel sick, but I knew it was my last chance! 
I also am a big proponent of changing your routine. Like, find your big triggers (mine was smoking after I ate) and make sure you’re prepared to deal with the craving. So after I would eat I would immediately have something else to do (wash dishes, shower, eat hard candy) just to get through that pull to go smoke. 
You can do it. It’s hard work, it sucks royally at first but now I honestly never think about it!
