Has anyone else had a large vaginal hematoma following a vaginal delivery that they had to have drained? Did the blood reaccumulate at all?

I had a second degree year after an extremely fast delivery. Around day 2 PP my pain increased from just irritation to severe pain when sitting, walking or standing but I assumed it was because my tear was along the scar tissue from my first delivery and scar tissue doesn't heal as well. I also figured I over did it playing with my toddler at 1 day PP since I had minimal pain that day.

At 8 days PP I finally had a significant decrease in pain but when I sat down to use the toilet blood started pouring out and it didn't stop. I soaked through 3 adult diapers in 45 minutes. We didn't make it to the hospital before I passed out and my husband had to pull over and call 911. I don't remember anything about the ambulance ride or getting into the hospital but my husband told me that the paramedics weren't able to get a blood pressure on me. I sort of remember my OB talking to me and telling me we needed to go to the OR but I couldn't answer or respond to questions. The next thing I remember is waking up in recovery 2.5 hours after I passed out. My OB told me that my hematoma had spontaneously ruptured and that's why I lost so much blood so quickly. She said she had never seen a hematoma rupture on it's own like that.

I feel awesome now after a couple of blood transfusions and my pain is pretty much gone but I'm terrified that the hematoma will come back and the same thing could happen again when I'm home alone with my kids.
