My boyfriend is Asian. So in April it’ll be New Years for his country. And he wants me to celebrate with him and his family. And Oh Boy I have no clue what to do. I looked it up and still don’t know anything 😭😭 
How do you deal with the culture difference??

Try to have him teach you. Make it a learning experience. It's so great to see and be a part of different cultures. I'm dating a man with a very Greek family background (hes half Greek and half Irish, looks mainly Irish, but super celebrates the Greek side more) and he teaches me everything new and we talk about what to do in certain instances beforehand. Like when to do certain things. His family has been understanding to me but I know not all are like this.

since it’s new years in april i’m guessing cambodian new years since he’s asian too? just ask him what he n his family does n just go along with it lol. if i’m right about it being cambodian new years we all just basically party 🎉

I'm Dominican so I had to do things he never had done in his Irish life  on new year's lol. But I asked him to do like two things with me and he said "I'm going to do them all." So we ate or grapes and cleaned all day. And then walked around with our suitcases.

My boyfriend is from India & i am American. His parents don't even speak english! I am just always open to learning about his culture and incorporating it into our regular lives as much as he wants! I wouldnt worry about it too much 💕 your effort and care will be enough!
