What age is good to start trying after #1?

Opinions you ladies have about when to try for the next baby? I just had my baby six months ago, but I don’t want to be too old when my second baby gets older! Right now with my first I’ll be 42 when he is 18 and I like that a lot!

As long as you’re financially able to have another child and you both feel ready for one, go for it!

You can't predict the future or change how old you will be when your first is a certain age.

I wanted to start trying at 1 year old but my husband wants longer so at 1.5 years old we’re going to discuss. I’m hoping for 2 2.5 years apart.

My first two are 3 1/2 years apart and I wish they were a little closer. I was shooting for 2-2 1/2 but unfortunately you can’t choose when you get pregnant. I took a LONG break and had my 3rd when my children were 9 & 12. He took 13 months to conceive so we immediately started trying did number 4 and by immediately I mean 6 weeks postpartum. Number 3 & 4 are 13 months apart and I love it so far. If I could’ve picked the age difference I would’ve gone w 2-2 1/2 years
