Pushing ?

Is anyone nervous about pushing. I’m scared it’s gonna take forever or if he gets stuck what will happen. Like ????

For me, pushing was actually better than the labor itself, you feel like you have some kinda control, and it’s actually relieving. At least if you do it naturally, and don’t have the epidural. The worse thing you can do is hold your breathe and push when you are told to push, instead of listening to your body, and breathing with your pushes or just simply breathing down your baby..your body will know when to push, you’ll feel the urge, that a doctor or nurse can’t predict even by looking at a machine at your contractions...as far as baby getting stuck, I really think laying on your back and the way most hospitals have you positioned doesn’t help that any, it’s better to get into a position that’s feels right for you, everyone’s pelvis is different, some women feel more comfortable on their hands and knees, some wanna stand, etc. I had an all natural homebirth, and was able to labor in whatever position felt most comfortable at the time, I was able to walk around or sit up, gravity can really help in your favor. I wasn’t hooked up to IVs or given pitocin, I was able to allow my body to provide the right hormones to help my labor along, just cause your labor lasts longer, doesn’t mean somethings wrong, everyone’s body is different, we don’t need things to speed up for everyone’s convenience. I breathed through my contractions, and while pushing, I wasn’t told not to push cause the midwife wasn’t there (long story short, the midwife didn’t make it so my husband caught the baby) it just goes to show, your body is doing the work, it knows what to do, all the doctor does is catch the baby...I didn’t need an expert in order to push out a baby. (I do plan on calling the midwife earlier this time to have her there, don get me wrong) I let my body do its thing, all I did was cope with it, help it by BREATHING which is also important to give oxygen to the baby. I didn’t tear at all, I didn’t get hemorrhoids, and I give credit to letting my body do its thing, not tensing up, or holding my breath, or pushing or not pushing when a nurse or doctors tells me, cause only I know what I’m feeling and when an urge hits, no amount of monitors can do a better job at telling me I’m having a contraction than I who am feeling them can.

Pushing has gone well with my other 2 kids,  contractions where hell but pushing brought relief from the contractions,  I pushed for about 10 minutes, no episiotomy and no tearing.

I was afraid of pushing. It was different with the epidural. It didnt feel like i was pushing. I kept asking did they see anything. Lol.  You will be fine!

Seems to depend from woman to woman. They either take hours or have no issues. Luckily I had no issues once they explained to me to push with my butt not my vag, just like with a poop.

You'll be fine. The less u worry about it the better. I tried not to think about it before hand and it all turned out fine.
