Ladies when you first start dating a guy how long do you wait until you have sex?

I was a virgin when I met my current boyfriend about four weeks ago. He was not. We're both 18 and I just wasn't ready at the time. I didn't want to wait until I fell in love because I really don't believe in that. I did however want to wait until I felt safe and then I trusted him. I think that leads to unnecessary attachment especially if it's not going to last. We had sex about 3 weeks in and unfortunately my plan didn't work. We're both mad in love with each other. Now we have sex almost every night multiple rounds.
