TMI warning

TMI warning! Tried to make sure the cute, non gross pictures show first!

Tuesday I was admitted to the hospital after we saw low fluid levels for both babies. They had also only gained a couple ounces from the last 2 week growth scan. I was monitored 24/7 until Thursday, when my dr told me that he was almost positive we'd be delivering later that day. I was only 34+1, and I was supposed to have my last baby shower tomorrow, so I was a little upset and overwhelmed that everything was happening so quickly. It wasn't an emergency csection... more like an urgent one. My husband had less than an hour to leave work and get to the hospital(I told him there was no reason to sit around all day and that he needed to work as much as possible to keep his mind occupied). Both of our moms were already there, and my sister, who works labor and delivery at this hospital, was allowed to rush over, scrub in, and take pictures during the delivery.

Both baby BOYS were born healthy, but somehow, their cords had been tied in a knot, which is why their growth was restricted. My dr said that in all his years of delivering babies, he's never seen any baby born alive after their cord was knotted. We are very lucky he delivered the boys when he did.

We don't quite know when the boys will be released. They seem to be doing fine and are getting closer to taking them home each day, which is great!

Baby a was born phillip Dennis, weighing 3lb 11oz. Baby b was born Jameson David, weighing 4lb 13oz. Phillip has the sock on his handin the picture.
