Who did you tell in the beginning?

I just found out that I’m pregnant and I don’t want to announce it to everyone just yet. I was thinking about telling immediate family members like my mom his mom his grandparents and his dad and maybe my sister. I do work with coworkers that I am close with and I’m not even sure if I want to tell them yet either but I feel as if they will catch on. Who did you guys tell until you were ready to announce?

I found out I was pregnant very early on (I was only 3 weeks and four days), and I instantly told my older sister, and my best friend. Few days later I told my momma (I had to tell her in person so I had to wait) and I told ALL of my coworkers.
I know people were freaked about it, and I can understand why, but the problem for me is that I am a massage therapist and my coworkers and I are closely around each other too much for no one to have noticed. So I told them before they bombarded me. XD
But it is each to their own.

We told no one until 20 weeks not even our parents but we'd had a miscarriage previously so wanted to be sure everything was ok before anyone knew. I think most of our friends knew by 24 weeks and we don't use social media so haven't announced any further

I told my fiance and my boss (to make work adjustments). Unfortunately we had a miscarriage at 8 weeks so our immediate family found out then..but we were planning to announce to all friends, co workers, family, and extended family after we reached the 12 week mark. I'm glad I kept it private, only my parents/siblings, and his parents/siblings know I was ever pregnant.

We live out of state so we told all the parents and my sister in law at 7 weeks on video chat. I told absolutely no one before that because I was traveling and didn't know I was pregnant! Then we told his cousins and auntie at 8 weeks on video chat. I called all my best friends and he told his friends and coworkers at 8 weeks. We were going to wait until 12 weeks... It was at Christmas tho so it was really easy to tell our news and later that night my husband posted a photo of us under the tree on Facebook saying there would be one more stocking next year. =) We announced very early because my husband was excited and wanted to, and I wanted him to have that moment. A lot of the pregnancy is focused on me so I definitely want to make sure he gets more attention. Personally I would just hide at home for 9 months if I could, LOL. But it is really lovely that so many friends and family are happy and excited for us, and I do want their support if the worst should happen. We're planning a gender announcement on Valentine's Day (about 16 weeks) with more phone calls and some kind of cute photo post on Facebook. There's a place nearby that makes huuuuge pink strawberry milkshakes so we'll do something with that if it's a girl, and mustache photo props on us, the dogs and the belly if it's a boy. That's what I'm thinking so far since we're not into the whole gender reveal party thing. =) That's the first thing everyone wants to know so if you haven't announced yet be aware everyone is going to ask boy or girl even if you're not that far along and it's scientifically impossible to know!! 😂

We told immediately family first (parents, SIL, grandparents, and one aunt and uncle who are very close), our close friends who we thought should know before ‘Facebook’, and I told two of my supervisors at work in case something were to happen to me while I was at work - I wanted someone to know.

We told our parents and siblings and I told my best friend because she’s like my sister and has been for years. We announced to the rest of his family on Labor Day weekend and then everyone else a couple weeks later. I did not tell anyone at work until I was about 13-15 weeks. I was also up for my promotion tho so it really influenced me not announcing there.
