So depressedš© Helpš
Iāll be 27 weeks tomorrow, my husband and I found out at 20 weeks that we are expecting a girl. It was so hard to be happy, you can even tell in the gender reveal video I was extremely let down. My husband is stoked either way he of course wanted a boy too but after finding out it was a girl he was equally excited and I wasnāt able to share that with him because I was legit let down.
I have no reasoning really for not wanting a girl other than when I imagined having kids and starting a family I always imagined a boy first. Iām currently babysitting instead of working since my husband wants me home to enjoy the pregnancy and I babysit a one year old little boy who I absolutely adore, I genuinely love that kid more than anything. I know thatās not helping my feelings.
I know this is common and normal for some moms. I am excited to be a mom, but the thought of raising a little girl terrifies me for no reason. I love feeling her move and respond to touch, but it breaks my heart to be feeling the way I do. I know she canāt feel the disappointment I feel but sometimes Iām like if she could hear my thought she would hate me. I feel like this mentality is whatās causing me not to bond with my belly.
I want her to love me when she comes out because I know I will love her so much, this is all Iāve wanted since I was 16.
Do you moms have an articles or anything I can do to love past this?
Thank you all in advance!!
