When should I go for the first ultrasound?

I'm only 6 weeks and 3 days right now. I haven't been able to get into my family doctor for a blood test yet because I'm waiting for my insurance card, but I got 4 positive tests 4 days in a row. The women's health clinic will give me a free untrisound, but is it too early? 
I can't decide if I should wait until week 8 or 9 and go to my normal doctor or just go in now.

Mine at 6 weeks didn’t show a baby and the two weeks I spent worrying wasn’t worth it. I had it early because I had two weeks of spotting but I think it’s best to wait.

Early ultrasounds often won’t show much and can (in my opinion) leave someone with more questions than answers, thus more anxiety or worries. I’d honestly just wait. My first (transvaginal) ultrasound at 8 weeks and 3 days was everything I imagined it’d be, worth the wait.

Depends on if you match your dates. Mine was almost spot on so at 6w I saw baby, heartbeat, and sack (I was measuring 2 days behind at that point). If you are sure when you ovulated you could do it early but you would see more if you waited.

You shouldn’t have to wait on your insurance card to go to the doctors as long as you have the policy number to provide them they should be able to see you.
