Changes through Time
It is crazy to see the differences between what I’m told and get done during my pregnancy compared to my mother’s pregnancies. Was just talking to her today and she had no idea that you aren’t supposed to eat deli meat unless it is cooked. Not something they were told 20 plus years ago. Also, she didn’t have any ultrasounds with me or my older sister because they only did them if something was wrong. Now with my brother, who is just a year younger, they did several because I was six weeks early they wanted to make sure nothing went wrong with him. She didn’t say what they did with my youngest sister though. But at my doctors office, I get an ultrasound at each visit at no cost to me. Plus I had an extra one today at an outside diagnostic imaging center that he called a dating scan. Which the dating scan is very new. One older sister had a baby with the same doctors office 2 years ago and they didn’t do that. Then a half sister, just had her baby 3 months ago and they didn’t do a dating scan. The changes are so crazy.
